Inspection
Package inspection in Lagos before your order travels
An inspection is simply a record of what actually arrived, made by our team at the Yaba hub while the parcel is still in our hands. You choose how detailed that record should be.
Four choices, priced per package
Detailed photo inspection — ₦500
Clear photographs of the outer packaging, the item from several angles, labels, serial numbers where visible and any damage we can see, plus a written condition summary.
Recorded video inspection — ₦1,000
A recorded unboxing you can watch later and share with the seller. Useful for electronics, sealed goods and anything where the order of opening matters.
Live video inspection — ₦2,000
A live video call where you direct the inspector: ask for a closer look, request a power-on test where safely possible, or check a specific measurement before you commit.
No inspection
If you already trust the seller or have paid in full, we can skip inspection entirely and move straight to storage or forwarding.
What every inspection report contains
- A condition checklist completed by the inspector
- A written summary in plain language
- Inspection media stored against the package in your account
- The date and time the check was carried out
If something is wrong
You can report a problem instead of approving payment. The inspection record, the photos or video and our notes stay attached to the package, which gives you something concrete to show the seller. We do not hold or release anyone's money on their behalf and we do not decide disputes — what we provide is an honest record and the option to pause before you pay.
When a seller accepts pay on delivery
Where the seller has agreed to pay on delivery, you review the arrival notice and the inspection outcome, then approve the payment instruction or raise a problem. Inspection and delivery charges are always separate from the price of the goods.
