Package inspection in Lagos before your order travels
We open every arriving package and complete a FREE basic visible-item check against the order information you supplied. Before accepting the item or approving seller payment, you can also request a paid detailed inspection.
Four choices, priced per package
Detailed photo inspection — ₦100
Clear photographs of the outer packaging, the item from several angles, labels, serial numbers where visible and any damage we can see, plus a written condition summary.
Recorded video unboxing — ₦150
A recorded unboxing you can watch later and share with the seller. Useful for electronics, sealed goods and anything where the order of opening matters.
Live video call — ₦250
A live video call where you direct the inspector: ask for a closer look, request a power-on test where safely possible, or check a specific measurement before you commit.
Basic inspection on arrival — FREE
Package opening, visible-item check against your order information, arrival confirmation and a basic inspection report. This is included without a request and is separate from the optional paid services above.
What every paid inspection contains
- A condition checklist completed by the inspector
- A written summary in plain language
- Inspection media stored against the package in your account
- The date and time the check was carried out
If something is wrong
You can report a problem and authorise MyLagosAddress to reject the delivery instead of approving payment. The inspection record, photos or video and our notes stay attached to the package, giving you something concrete to show the seller.
When a seller accepts pay on delivery
Where the seller has agreed to Pay on Delivery and the selected payment method supports it, review the arrival notice and inspection report, then pay the seller directly, authorise MyLagosAddress to pay on your behalf, or authorise us to reject the delivery. No seller payment is made before your final approval. Delivery and optional detailed inspection charges are separate.
